BOOTSIE

Bootsie is a 2-3 year old Beagle mix
Bootsie came to us from Lawrence County Ohio
We rescued Bootsie because she was being house outdoors chained for the past two years of her life.
Bootsie was snappy and aggressive when she arrived in resue. She was scared of other dogs and did not know how to get along with other dogs.
Bootsie was found in Lawrence County Ohio laying next to another Beagle who had been shot. Bootsie also had a bullet injury but was just grazed on her front paw near her ankle area. Our guess is that Bootsie and the other Beagle were taken out to be shot by their owner because they weren't good at hunting, luckily Bootise ran off after being shot and only returned to mourn her Beagle friend when the horrible human who shot her and her Beagle friend had left the area.

Bootise does have an area on her ankle where the old injury from being shot healed at an angle and she can't hold her paw out flat at all, but she walks fine and gets around great despite the old injury.
Bootise spent two weeks here in Ohio for socialization and training in how to live life as an indoor dog.

Bootise is housebroken, now gets along well with other friendly dogs and did well with the cats here also
Bootsie is currently in a foster home in Michigan living with a 1 year old Deaf Dalmation and is doing great.
She plays well and loves her little deaf foster dalmation brother Mackie very much.

Bootsie and Zeus our Blind Great Dane in rescue got to be great pals while she was here in Ohio

Bootsie loves to cuddle and hug and has learned, "sit", "Give Me Paw" , "come", "lay down" and many other voice commands since she has been in rescue
She is a very happy well adjusted 2-3 year old dog and is non destructive and has the full run of the house even overnight without any problems
Bootsie is housebroken and does well when crated

Bootsie is up to date on all her vaccinations including Rabies and is spayed.
Bootsie is one Great Dog !

Bootsie sends special thanks to Meg Grow who drove ten hours round trip from Cleveland Ohio to Lawrence County Ohio to get Bootsie safely to CODA here in Cleveland Ohio. She was happy to see Meg again when Meg drove Bootsie to her new foster home in Michigan.

Bootsie also sends special thanks to her new Foster Mom Lori and her new Foster Dad Brian for opening their hearts and homes to her so she would have a safe place to live while looking for her new forever home and learning to live life as a spoiled indoor house dog!
