(STOKES COUNTY NORTH CAROLINA KILL SHELTER RESCUE)

(THIS SHELTER GASSES DOGS TO DEATH IN A MAKESHIFT GAS CHAMBER MOUNTED ON THE BACK OF A DUMP TRUCK)

USE OF THE WORDS " ANIMAL SHELTER" JUST DON'T FIT THE TREATMENT OF ANIMALS AT THIS HORRIBLE SHELTER
(Died from Parvo Sunday 1/7/08)
Stokes County Animal Shelter Germantown NC
A shelter that KNOWS it has a parvo epidemic but
does NOTHING to stop the problem and just keeps intaking
dogs so they can all be exposed to this deadly disease!
They also use a coverted dump truck to gas dogs to death
Poor Casper never had a chance from the second he was forced in the doors of this inhumanely operated
dog control facility

Sad news everyone.
Casper's transport for this weekend to CODA is now cancelled.
Casper tested a strong positive for PARVO while at the vets office in North Carolina this morning for his exam.
His mother was pulled by a local rescue and she hasn't been tested yet but is showing signs of illness.
( The local NC rescue that pulled Butterbean his mother just has the vet euthanize any dogs they pull that test positive for parvo so the volunteer Mona from the shelter that helped us get Casper safely out of the shelter and to the vets is hoping another rescue can commit to Butterbean so she can start treatment immediately also)
Here is a photo of Butterbean

Casper appears to be feeling well, is eating, drinking but is vomiting. No bloody diareah as of yet.

We've instructed the Vets office to start treatment for Parvo for Casper.

Please keep Casper in your prayers. We should know in a few days if he will pull through the treatment and if so we should be able to transport him next weekend.
Donations can be made to help with Caspers unexpected medical bills through our main website
http://coda.givemepaw.com there is a donation button on the left hand menu of the main page
Any donations will be greatly appreciated as we expect his treatment minimum to be several hundred dollars and we now also have the expense of a week of boarding costs in addition to his parvo treatment.

We will check with the vets office also to find out if they are willing/able to accept donations by phone via credit card.

Poor Casper is sure suffering the effects of bad animal control management policies at this shelter due to their poor disease control policies and although we saved him from that horrid death by gassing in a makeshift dump truck gas chamber he's still not out of the woods yet.

Below is the transport run sheet we were working on filling for Caspers transport for saturday/sunday this weekend.
Hopefully we will still need drivers to fill this transport for next weekend.
We're staying positive in hopes that we soon can have this sweet deaf aussie boy safely in our care and on his way to a very bright future.

EMERGENCY TRANSPORT.PULASKI,VA TO RADCLIFF,KY.SUN 1/6. CASPER, DEAF WHITE
AUSSIE.
Casper is being pulled from a shelter in NC that uses a converted dump truck
as a gas chamber. That dump truck was where he was supposed to go, today.
Instead, there is a loving foster home in KY waiting to take him and love him
until he finds his forever home. I know it is short notice, but what better way
could you have to start off the new year than to give Casper a lift on his way
to the rest of his life.
