6 Month old Cocker Spaniel Puppy

Charlie is a 6 1/2 month old Male Cocker Spaniel Puppy
He entered rescue with C.O.D.A. on 3/7/07
Charlie was bred by a breeder in Ashland Ohio and was sold as a newly weaned puppy
to an elderly woman here in the Cleveland OH suburbs
Charlie was purchased as a Christmas Gift by the elderly womans sister

The elderly woman was not physically able to provide proper care and training for Charlie
Charlie has had very little socialization, no training other than basic housebreaking skills
and was very scared and terrified when he was surrendered to CODA
Charlie is fostering in our Cleveland Ohio Foster home where he will receive love and much needed
socialization and training
Charlie is up to date on all his vaccinations and will be scheduled for his neuter surgery once he settles into
his foster home and calms down and gets comfortable
Charlie seems most comfortable with our super foster home kid Johanna who is helping him to settle in
Charlie has never been able to run and play off leash in a fenced in yard before arriving at CODA

Charlie's foster dog sister Annie ( adopted CODA Dog) is helping Charlie learn dog play skills and interaction skills
We will have updates on Charlie soon






The paperwork from the breeder lists Charlie as a Cocker Spaniel Poodle mix but
Charlie looks all Cocker Spaniel to us

UPDATE 3/20/06
Charlie was neutered a few days ago and is doing well.
Charlie also had his ear cleaned really well while under anethesia and had his nails trimmed
and was brought up to date on all his vaccinations.
We also had a urinalysis done to ensure Charlie didn't have any medical issues we were unaware of
Total Cost for Charlie's Vet Bill $140.00

We are seeking a home with a secure fenced in play area for Charlie
A home with children is fine preferrably only one or two children.
Charlie would do well in a home with a female slightly older dog to be his companion
Basic Obedience Class Completion required within 90 days of adoption
