HERCULES

Hercules is a Fawn Male Great Dane who is 3 1/2 years old.
Hercules is housebroken and does well alone in the home uncrated
Hercules has lived with a cat and a female Great Dane in the past with no problems
Hercules is a non smoking Great Dane and does not like anyone holding a cigarette near him
Hercules has requested a " non smoking" new home:)

Hercules is neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations
and has had yearly vet exams since he was a puppy
Hercules is heartworm negative and starting on preventative medication
Hercules has always lived in homes with children between the ages of 9-12 and does fine with children

Hercules has been through at least 3 different homes that we know of since he was born
This poor gorgeous dane boy has been bounced around a lot in his life
Hercules needs a permanent new home that will love him for the rest of his life
Hercules states, " I'm tired of bonding to new families only to have my heart broken once again"

Hercules family had to surrender him due to a marital split and both parties
moving into small apartments that will not allow a Great Dane.

Hercules originally started life in N.J. but has lived in Ohio the past six months
Hercules will be fostering in our Litchfield Ohio foster home

Hercules is a very easy going boy with great confirmation, good hips
and his teeth are in very nice condition for his age
Hercules still has a great spring in his gate and is mature and well behaved
Hercules stays close to his humans off leash with no problems
Hercules is a wonderful Great Dane with no issues at all
C.O.D.A. agreed to take Hercules into our program
to find him a new loving home
so that Hercules would not be surrendered to the Cleveland A.P.L
which is a kill shelter here in Cleveland
Hercules has never been in a shelter situation and we didn't want to see him wind up in
one at his age and with his excellent temperment as a shelter setting is
very stressful for any dog but especially so for a Great Dane like Hercules
who is used to being a well cared for pet.

UPDATE 6/10/07
Hercules is settling into his foster home nicely. He was very depressed of course when
his previous owners left and it took him a few hours to stop watching the driveway waiting for them to return
but he eventually decided his foster mom was a nice person and started warming up to her nicely
We visited Hercules today at his new foster home and he was much more relaxed than we expected
so soon. Hercules walks perfectly on a leash and is getting along fine with all the animals
in his foster home
Hercules sits on command and knows the " give me paw" command also
Hercules is one very special and very handsome fawn dane boy
We've determined from Hercules previous veterinary records that he is currently
3 1/2 years old and will turn 4 in December of this year.

Great Dane experienced home required
Homes with children over 10 years old only
Home ownership required for adoption
Fenced yard preferred for Hercules
Financial ability to properly care for a Great Dane mandatory
