Orleans with her foster dog Ubi)
JAZZMINE
Jazzmin is an Australian Cattle Dog who survived the Katrina Hurricane as
a puppy
Jazzmin lost her family in the Katrina Disaster
Jazzmin was brought to the shelter outside the Civic Center by a caring rescuer
Jazzmin was in good shape upon arrival in Cleveland and not too underweight
Jazzmin is about 3 years old now and is wonderful with children
Jazzmin weighed in at 32 lbs upon arrival in Cleveland and was approximately
4-6 months old at that time
Jazzmin now weighs over 60lbs and needs to go on a diet
Jazzmin was adopted in October of 2006 to a family in Painesville Ohio
On July 6th 2007 CODA was notified by the Ottawa County Humane Society that
Jazzmin had been dropped
off at their shelter by her adopter
Thank you to the staff at OCHS for notifying us that Jazzmin was at your shelter.
Thank you to Ron and Kelly Huntley for picking Jazzmin up immediately at the
shelter
and driving her back to CODA central for evaluation and transport to her former
foster home
Special Thanks to Rose and A.J. for allowing Jazzmin to return for foster care even though you already have a CODA foster dog currently:)
Our worst nightmare is having one of our adopters dump one of our animals
at an animal shelter
never notifying us, as they were contractually obligated to do
Our adoption contract requires that in the case an adopter can no longer
provide a safe and loving home for any of our adopted animals
THEY MUST CALL US SO THE ANIMAL MAY RETURN TO CODA
Jazzmin was scared and confused upon arrival back at CODA central, had
a recent burn mark on her nose, but was overall in great shape
thanks to the Ottawa County Humane Society who gave Jazzmin a bath, vaccinations,
a nail clipping and took great care of her for 24 hrs until we could arrange
her return to CODA.
We can't thank the staff at OCHS enough for all they did for our Jazzmin!
Jazzmin LOVES children and is very gentle and easy going with them and would
do well in a home
with children over 6yrs of age.
Jazzmin is 100% perfect on her house training skills and is totally housebroken
Jazzmin is crate trained and walks perfectly on a leash
Jazzmin knows the commands, " sit", " stay", " down",
" come" and many others
Jazzmin's orginal listing with CODA is below for all her background information
__________________________________________________________
Jazzmin received her first puppy DHLPP vaccination and her Parvo Vaccination
Jazzmin was also heartworm tested and tested negative for heartworms
Jazzmin is not shy upon meeting new people and immediately got busy playing
when she got into the CODA van
Jazzmin is about 3-4 months old
Jazzmin would enjoy a high energy younger dog in her permenent family as a
playmate and companion

Jazzmin's rear dew claws which should have been removed as a puppy are causing

discomfort and create
a potential risk of her catching them on something and tearing them loose

Jazzmin spent the night at CODA's main facility the night before her surgery
