Kabato is a Pure Bred Harlequin Neutered Male Great Dane
He entered rescue with C.O.D.A. on 5/30/05
Kabato is in need of a new loving home due to a divorce situation
Kabato's owners asked a neighbor to watch Kabato while they were going through a divorce
over 9 months ago and neither of Kabato's previous owners any longer want Kabato.
A wonderful lady has been caring for Kabato for the past nine months and will continue to foster Kabato
for CODA until a new loving home can be found for him.
Kabato's previous owners wanted his caretaker to take him to a shelter.
Instead she contacted several Great Dane rescues in OH about taking Kabato into their program
All the OH Great Dane rescues are filled to the brim so CODA agreed to help Kabato and his wonderful caretaker to find this sweet boy a new loving home.
Kabato is already neutered and also torsioned/bloated when he was displaced from his family
Kabato survived the surgery and is now tacked to prevent any further bloat/torsion incidents.


Kabato is house trained and knows all his basic commands
Kabato is a very lovable and well behaved mature dane boy
Kabato gets along well with both small and large dogs
He also gets along great with the neighbors Jack Russel Terrier
Our Director took Zeus and Scrappy to meet Kabato and Kabato took a liking to Zeus instantly
Our Director instantly fell in love with Kabato's wonderful , gentle personality

Kabato's foster home has a 12 year old male child and Kabato gets along great with him also.

Kabato will be seeing our vet Dr. Brian this week for a heartworm test, update on his vaccinations
and to check a minor skin irritation on his hind quarters
UPDATE 6/4/05
Kabato is now up to date on all his vaccinations and has been heartworm tested.
Kabato was treated for his flea dermatitis conditon and received a shot to help his skin
and a "capstar" tablet to kill any remaining fleas
Kabato was a good boy at the vets and everyone at the Vets office just loved him
Kabato enjoyed the long ride to the vets and a few visits with other CODA dogs on the way back to his foster home today
Kabato didn't cooperate in giving us a stool sample but CODA will be having a fecal check done on him as soon as possible due to the fact he's quite underweight for his size
