LILLY

Lilly is a Mantle Female Great Dane
She is fully sighted and hears fine.
Lilly is 6 years old.
Lilly is spayed
We rescued Lilly from the Cleveland Animal Protective League on 4/21/05
Lilly was surrendered by her owners to the APL under the auspices that they were moving and could no longer keep her.
After many years of being a loyal pet Lilly's previous owners just dumped her in a kill shelter.

Lilly is a smaller sized Great Dane she's 31" tall to her shoulders from the ground
Lilly has several medical issues including pain in her right rear leg where she's had a previous knee surgery
Lilly is slightly overweight and was positive for whipworms which she has been treated for.
Lilly will be started on a BARF raw diet to help improve her health and to get Lilly to her proper weight

Lilly will need to have a comprehensive X-Ray done on her knees and hips and has started on Rimadyl for the pain
Associated with her knee problem.
Lilly was also initially on antibiotics for a next week to improve her skin and protect against any possibility of kennel
cough or other contagious pathogens she may have been exposed to while at the shelter for a week.

Lilly's heartworm test was negative

We are in need of monetary donations to help defray the cost of Lilly's needed medical care
The cost of Lilly's xrays are the most immediate need right now.

Approximate cost $100

UPDATE 4/21/05 FROM LILLY'S FOSTER MOM
Ok, let me give you an update on Lilly.
Lilly is a typical dane. She is extremely velcro to me. Even if sleeping, she will awake to follow me out of a room.
She will sit in the usual dane manner, by putting her butt on the couch and feet on the floor.
She is a leaner. :)
She does know commands and will 'backtalk', lol.
Definately potty trained.
Does not need crated at all.
Gets along great with other dogs and cats without any problems, enjoys their company.
A very well-behaved and gentle girl who is so super with the children. We just love her
