ODIE
Odie is a male Collie mixed breed puppy
Odie is approximately 3-4 months old
Odie was surrendered to the shelter in New Orleans because his family was being relocated
and couldn't take Odie with them
Odie weighed in at 19.5 lbs and is quite thin
Odie was very scared in New Orleans and was growling at rescuers
Then Odie met and bonded to his favorite rescuer who help Odie get over his fears


It was sad watching Odie and his new friend have to part when it was time for Odie to come to CODA
Odie's friend would have loved to keep Odie but just wasn't able to do that

Odie received his first puppy DHLPP and Parvo Vaccinations
Odie was heartworm tested and we'll know his results soon
UPDATE
Odie tested negative for heartworms
Odie has a very sweet and lovable personality
Odie just wags his tail like crazy and is very happy to now be safe
Odie is being fostered in Chagrin Falls Ohio and has two little girls in his foster home in addition to a female dog about
the same size as Odie who's name is Mississippi:)
Odie was very excited upon arrival at his foster home and went off exploring his new home checking out
all the rooms and toys and interesting new things to explore

UPDATE
Odie presented with an upper respistory cough on Saturday 9.17.05 and has started on antibiotic treatments
Odie is also receiving a 3 day panacur treatment to protect against giardia and other waterborne illnesses

UPDATE 10.04.05
Odie continues to do well at his foster home. Odie loves to go for walks and is doing well on his housebreaking skills
Odie's respitory infection is completely cleared up and Odie will be scheduled for his neuter surgery soon
UPDATE 10.10.05
Odie is scheduled for his neuter surgery and second set of puppy vaccinations on 11/01/05
UPDATE 11.03.05
Odie was neutered on 11/1/05 and is recovering well. Odie also received his second set of DHLPP puppy vaccinations
Odie weighed in at 34 lbs today and Odie now knows "sit" and "give me paw"
