Sally Jo

(Sally Jo during her transport to CODA from Kentucky Shelter)
Sally Jo is an amputeeBeagle
Sally was found by a good samaritan with one of her front legs dangling covered
in blood
and badly mangled
The good samaritan took Sally Jo to Campbell County Animal Shelter in Melbourne,
KY
Sally Jo's paw was just a bloody pulp
It was determined by the Shelter Veterinarian that Sally Jo had been shot
Sally Jo's leg had to be amputated because she had been stray in this condition
for at least
a week before being brought into the Shelter in Kentucky and there was too
much damage to her leg
to save Sally Jo's leg.
Sally Jo arrived at CODA on April 29th 2006
Sally Jo is a very sweet and lovable Beagle who is estimated to be under 2
years old
Sally has already been spayed with the help of Wilson Animal Rescue in KY
prior to her transport to CODA
Sally was pretty nervous during her transport as she had no idea what was
going on

But with the help of many wonderful volunteer transport drivers Sally Jo
made it safely to CODA's Buffalo Foster Home where she will be fostering
Sally Jo loves to have her ears scratched and Sally Jo has made herself right
at home in our Buffalo foster home
_____________________________________________________________
Sally Jo still needs to be brought up to date on all her vaccinations and
also needs to be
heartworm tested which we will have done as soon as she's settled in a bit.
Sally Jo is housebroken and getting along wonderfully with both the male and
female
dogs in her foster home.
Sally would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Campbell County Animal
Shelter
and Jeanie with Wilson Animal Rescue in Kentucky for helping her when she
needed it most and for
arranging for her transfer to CODA where she can be a pampered pet living
in a calm foster home
enviroment until her new loving permanent home can be found!
Sally also sends special thanks to all the wonderful people who helped drive
her from KY to NY

UPDATE 6.6.06
Sally Jo has been adopted by a wonderful new Mom who is an emergency room
physician who had opened her heart and adopted Jordon
before his disk ruptured and Jordon had to be humanely put out of his pain
Sally's wonderful new mom recently adopted " Tuck" another beagle
who was fostering
with our Buffalo Foster home so Sally Jo will have a young active beagle playmate
as a companion
in her new home in Buffalo NY.
