SHEA
Shea is a Pure Bred Australian Shepherd Puppy
We rescued Shea after he was brought into a Veterinarian's office in Southern
Ohio by the person who had just purchased him from a Breeder. Shea was brought
into the vets covered in lice and fleas and his previous owner wanted his
hearing tested as he believed Shea could not hear properly.
When Shea's owner was told that Shea was deaf he asked the Veterinarian to
euthanize Shea as he didn't want a deaf puppy.
A wonderful Vet Tech at this Vet's office called us to save Shea's life.
Shea is 8 weeks old and he weighs 11 lbs
Shea was treated for his flea and lice infestation by the Veterinarian's in
Southern Ohio and is also current on his first set of Puppy shots.
( Thanks to Vicki Graf for helping to save Shea's life)
While spending a few days here in rescue at CODA in Cleveland Ohio Shea was
learning potty training well and is a very smart and happy puppy.
After loosing our little Arriella so tragically we notified Arriella's approved
family that we had committed to rescuing Shea
They arranged to meet Shea once he was safely with CODA Dog Rescue and immediately
fell in love with him.
Shea is now living with a wonderful family the O'Neill family who's hearts
broke along with ours at the loss of our little Arriella last month.

Today when Shea went home with his new family there were nothing but smiles
on all our faces:)
We are so happy to know our little Shea has a great forever home with the
O'Neill family.
Shea is going to grow up being one very much loved dog with two wonderful
girls to teach him lots of neat tricks and wear off all that spunky puppy
energy little Shea has:)
Shea also will share his new home with his new fur brother "Sky"
and two kitties
Shea's new family came prepared with crate, dog toys, leash and collar and plenty of chewies to help get Shea through his teething phase.
Thanks to the O'Neill family for again opening their hearts and home to one
of our special needs rescue dogs!
UPDATE 3/30/05
Shea is doing wonderful in his new home. We've visited him several times and
he and our adopted deaf Aussie pup
Dafni even had a play date together prior to Dafni's adoption
