SNOWMAN

SNOWMAN is a 6-8 month old Pure Bred Catahoula Leopard Dog
Snowman came to us from a kill shelter in Waverly Mississippi
Snowman is a sweet tempered, puppy who has had no previous house training and lived his entire life outdoors before coming into rescue
He is currently being house trained and socialized and is learning his signs quickly and learning his house manners very quickly also
He's a smart little fellow

SNOWMAN IS NOW HOUSEBROKEN AND HAS WONDERFUL HOUSE MANNERS
Snowman has been left out in the house when his human caretakers are away and he has been a total angel
Snowman has learned to play with appropriate toys and not every potholder he can find. He has learned signs for "lay", "come", "no" and his name in the week.
He is in love with Splash our Featured Pet and they play and interact well together

He also enjoys playing with our puppy Blake that is up for adoption also
Snowman seemed to prefer men to women when he first arrived but is showing more affection to his female caregiver
Snowman is gentle and easy going with the kitties here in rescue also so would do alright in a home with cats
Snowman suffers from a double merle gene eye deformity and has limited vision in his eye with the dark patch over it but he see's well using his other eye and gets around great
Snowman had his first heartworm treatment March11th and is doing great. He underwent his second treatment on April 9 th and spent a month recovering from the treatmentand is now ready to move to his foster home in Michigan until his forever home can be found.

Snowman tested negative for active microfilia Heartworm on April 29th 2004:)
Snowman has to be re-tested on July 1st for his occult Heartworm test and has been moved to our best foster home in the Detroit Michigan area for the next two months until he is free for adoption. He moved there on May 1st and has a cool Deaf Dalmation named Mackie to play with while he finishes healing from his heartworm treatments

He actually has gained 9 pounds and a lot of muscle tone so far during his recovery from Heartworm.
Snowman is a very gentle and loving dog who will make a wonderful pet and companion!
Snowman loves to ride in cars and rides very well and is very well behaved in a car!

Snowman's Foster Mom fell madly in love with the "Man" and decided she just could not part with him and has adopted Snowman:)

We couldn't be happier because now we know we will get to see Snowman all the time . Snowman has a great mom and fur brother Mackie the Deaf Dalmation and a fursister Bullet and we know Snowman loves them all as much as they love him!
