Sophie is a femaleYellow Labrador Mix .
Sophie is fully sighted and hears fine.
We rescued Sophie from Ravenna City Pound in Ravenna Ohio on 4/9/05
Sophie is approximately 1 year old and weighs in at 52 pounds
Sophie is now up to date on all her vaccinations and tested negative for heartworms
Sophie's fecal test showed, tapeworms, roundworms and whipworms which she
is currently
receiving treatment for
Sophie has also presented with Kennel Cough which she is on antibiotic treatment
for currently
Sophie is a very sweet and loving dog with a layed back personality
Sophie is not hyper or overbearing at all.
Sophie has a pleasant and friendly personality
Sophie is totally non-alpha with other dogs
Sophie already knows "sit", "lay", " and "no"
Sophie walks like a perfect little lady on a leash and does not pull at all.
Sophie is housebroken but needs some work on general house manners.
Sophie is being fostered in our new North Ridgeville Ohio Foster home

UPDATE 5/6/05
Sophie continues to do well in her foster home and will be spayed shortly
now that she is gaining weight
and overcoming her parasite infestation. Sophie's foster mom reports she's
totally in love with Sophie

We went to visit Sophie and her new mom and Sophie looks so wonderful now
that she has put on weight

Mary Jo went with our Director to the shelter Sophie was in to save Sophie
on her last day after agreeing to
Foster Sophie to save Sophie's life.
It was a match made in Heaven as Sophie's new mom Mary Jo was seeking a dog
to love and spoil
and Sophie was seeking a new Mom to care for her and love her!
We couldn't be happier for Sophie and Mary Jo:)
