SQUEAK

(Squeak at 6 wks old)
Squeak is a Pure Bred Minature Australian Shepherd Puppy
We rescued Squeak after he was brought into a Veterinarian's office in Pittsburgh to be euthanized by the breeder who bred Squeak.

A wonderful Veterinary Technician contacted us to save Squeaks life and he had to be moved immediately
or the Vet was going to euthanize Squeak
Squeak was transported immediately to CODA in Cleveland Ohio

Squeak is only six weeks old and is currently in quarantine
Squeak is deaf but has excellent vision.

Squeak is a happy, energetic, playful puppy who has already learned the sign for " give kisses" and we're working on "no nipping" as of course Squeaks favorite game to play is " bite the sock" , or " bite the toe", or "chase the kitty" so when being held by his human caretakers Squeak is being taught to calm down and " give kisses" which he does immediately now when receiving the sign for "give kisses" and he kisses nicely without attempting to nibble:)

Isabelle donated a new toy she received recently (from a nice donor )so that Squeak could have a brand new toy
the same size as him to cuddle with in his crate.
Isabelle is quite anxious for Squeak to get out of quarantine so she can play mommy dog and perks up anytime Squeak cries

We've had many people interested in adopting Squeak
Even though he's not yet available for adoption until he completes his puppy vaccination series

It's so sad that the Breeder who created Squeak would have never given this wonderful puppy a
chance at life because Squeak's breeder took Squeak into her local Vet's office to have him euthanized
when the breeder found out Squeak was deaf
Squeak is a highly intelligent, lovable, well behaved puppy
It's such a shame that a breeder who breeds dogs for profit would consider Squeak
disposable merely because he was born deaf
Many Australian Shepherd Breeders kill any pups in the litter born with blue eyes that are predominately
white pups before giving them a chance at life and a loving home
Our view here at CODA is that if a breeder isn't willing to commit to each and every puppy they create
for the life of that puppy they have absolutely NO BUSINESS BREEDING DOGS
Breeders such as this need to get a " real job" and stop making a living at the expense of
wonderful sweet loving puppies like Squeak!
Thank goodness so many wonderful people who've contacted us hoping to adopt Squeak
understand that Squeak is a living, breathing, intelligent, adorable puppy.
