TESS

Tess is a 10 week old Golden Retriever Puppy
Tess is fully sighted and hears fine.
We rescued Tess from Summit County Animal Shelter in Akron Ohio on 1/14/05
Tess is the most adorable little puppy you've ever seen

Tess is currently learning to walk on a leash and learning potty training skills

Tess is not currently available for adoption for several weeks
because Tess has been diagnosed with roundworm

Tess received her second roundworm treatment on 2/4/05

Tess enjoys playing with toys and the other dogs in her foster home

 

Tess was facing euthanasia at the kill shelter along with many other adorable puppies
Tess was very depressed and just sat in her cage looking very sad and when taken out of her cage
she immediately cheered right up and cuddled under our necks
Tess was picked up as a stray dog in Summit County wandering all alone at 8 weeks old.
Tess came out of Summit County Animal Shelter in nice condition she was clean and flea free

Our Director went to Summit County Animal Shelter to save Bentely our Yellow Labrador Mix
and when we saw Tess sadly sitting in her cage and found out she needed out asap
We agreed to rescue Tess along with Bentley
(The remaining 30 dogs at the shelter were euthanized two days after we saved Bentley and Tess)

Animal Shelters nationwide are filled with Labrador mixes and puppies and many Labrador mixes and puppies are killed daily
in kill shelters all over the country.
The only solution to this overwhelming problem of sweet dogs like Bentley and Tess being killed by the tens of thousands
each year is to make sure EVERYONE spays and neuters their pets to prevent unwanted litters
and a constant inflow of stray and unwanted pets being brought in or dropped off at kill shelters nationwide.

Tess has been adopted by a wonderful family and will be living in Troy Michigan
Tess has a new Dad, Mom and four human sisters( 19-17-9-7-)
so she will be a very spoiled only dog!

UPDATE 3/05
Tess's new parents report her house training is coming along well and Tess
has learned all her basic commands.

UPDATE 3/31/05
Tess parents report she had her last set of puppy vaccinations and is doing great.

Tess will be adopted on a mandatory spay contract which will require her adopter
to have Tess spayed between the age of 4-5 months and provide CODA with proof of spay
from their Veterinarian
