instead started him on once a week baths with a special shampoo to help his
dermodex mange. Ubi gained 5 lbs and is getting taller

Special Thanks to the ASPCA for their generous grant
to help with the Katrina Dogs
UPDATE 2/7/06
Ubi was examined today by Dr. Bob because his foster mom reported he's been
scratching a lot
and has presented with a few very minor bald spots so we were concerned it
may have been a reoccurance of the demodex
After a skin scraping was performed it was determined that demodex was not
the problem but Ubi
actually was suffering from a yeast infection most likely the result of a
food allergy.
Ubi's diet is being changed to a salmon based food as Dr. Bob believes the
yeast infection was due to an allergy
to beef or chicken based dog food allergies
Ubi is on two medications to clear up his yeast infection and weighed in at
50 lbs today at his Vet Exam
Ubi was very happy and excited to meet Squeak today at the Vet's office and
was quite facinated with Squeaks energy levels:)
